It is currently Saturday afternoon, and I’m super excited because my dad is coming home tonight!!!! (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
This is a glamorous photo of my dog relaxing on my bed. I sent this to my dad as a piece of family to have on the plane ride home. My mom and I have had a really relaxed weekend full of watching movies and eating ice cream straight from the bucket. While my mom was politely chipping away at her Pecan Praline Ice Cream, I was devouring my Cotton Candy Ice Cream. Overall, we had a fabulous time laughing, crying, and eating!
Happy Easter everyone! It’s officially Easter Sunday and I’m happy to say that I started the day off on the right foot with Lindor Truffles. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
You can probably tell that the photos aren’t their normal size. These photos weren’t taken with Snapchat. 😁 This photo is actually my favorite picture of my mom. I think it captures her happiness and sirenity. This Easter was by far the best as we were joined by our close friends who I met before I was born. I have to say I do enjoy watching my dog play with his new bunny stuffed animal. This year, I have learned that you may not be able to choose your blood, but you can choose the people you surround yourself with. You may as well surround yourself with people who will laugh with you at your best moments and cry with you at your worst. Believe me when I say that it is wise to stick with people who make you happy and don’t bring you down. Anyway, shout out to my mom for making an incredible feast! Happy Easter Sunday y’all!
Today was a slowly-paced day full of sleeping, walking, and online shopping. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
In complete honesty, my favorite thing about Snapchat is seeing the temperature or my own speed. So I pretty much took a picture of nothing and watched my speed increase and decrease as my posse and I walked to yogurt land. You are probably imagining a group of obnoxious teenagers strutting down the middle of the road and although that is much more extravagant and creative than reality I should probably put your mind at ease. My posse included my mom, dad, Toby (my pup), Rico (my neighbor’s pup), and myself. We went over to the center of Encino where we stopped at Wells Fargo and Yogurt Land. I cashed my Easter check. (Shoutout to the best Grandpa around, my Papa.) Then, we stopped for some fro yo. Since I just received $50, I decided to do some serious online shopping. Once my items arrive, I may be able to snap a picture and include them in my next SSOTD. Goodbye for now.
Today I went to a party of two, including me. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
Today my dad and I spent the whole day together. We went shoe shopping. The original plan was to get Converse and running shoes. However, when it took us seven stores to look for running shoes to peak my interest, we just decided to purchase Timberland Boots. After our long shoe journey, we went home, kicked up our feet, and started watching corny horror movies. Sorry Friday The 13th Part 2. Anyway, the above picture that you may or may not have recognized is a picture of my favorite beverage. Unfortunately, coke is a bad habit I have yet to shake. Comment below any guilty pleasures you are trying to get rid of. Okay well, I will see you next time.
Today I went to Knotts Berry Farm with my dad and some family friends. We had such a great time. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to prior commitments. Anyway, I had never been to Knotts before. The first ride we went on was called Silver Bullet. It is a fairly fast paced ride. It is extremely smooth so it doesn’t cause your head to jolt back and forth. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
After Silver Bullet, we went on a few other rides including Xcelerator and and Montezooma’s Revenge. Both rides were extremely exhilarating. Xcelerator shoots you from 0 to 82 mph in the matter of about 2 seconds. It is a short but super fast ride. You go straight up into the air and then straight down. Montezooma’s Revenge was like a roller coaster version of the dragon ride at the pier. It shoots you off just to fall backwards into two loops. Knotts Berry Farm is a great amusement park for the whole family. It has roller coasters for the adrenaline junkies, small rides for younger kids, and slowly-paced rides for the more calm family members. In all, head over to Knotts Berry Farm for a smile-filled day.
Today my family officially celebrated my mom’s birthday by going to the LA opera. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
We saw The Barber of Sellville. It’s an opera about a barber trying to help two people get married. The couple share a love held back by the woman’s keeper. Their romantic and hilarious journey include ups and downs. The cast does an amazing job at conveying the emotions of the characters. Each singer has a unique voice, however all of them are equally talented. After the show, my family , friends and I headed over to Kendall’s. I ordered the escargot which has been a personal favorite since I was little. You are probably wondering why I have an unusually smaller picture in this post. After the opera and dinner, my friend and I ran out into the fountains while our parents took photos of us. As you can see, I decided to turn my cardigan into wings and fly around. In all, I had a great night and it goes down as one of my fondest memories.
Yesterday I took my neighbor’s dog for a walk. I can say that I completely appreciated the cool weather. I decided to snap some pictures of him and the random speed sign in my neighborhood. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
On another note, I have two extremely incredible subjects to touch base on. The first being that yesterday my mom and I were invited to a screening of Insurgent. Insurgent is the second movie in the Divergent series. It comes to theaters on March 20th. Make sure to go see it, because it is incredibly mind-boggling. Anyway, I wish I could have included pictures. However, they took my phone away for legal purposes.
My other incredible subject to discuss is… IT’S ENCINOMOM’S BIRTHDAY!! My mom’s wisdom is becoming stronger and her looks are getting younger. I am so honored to be a part of her life. She is an amazing person whom I love very much. Anyway, I hope she knows that I am sending her the warmest birthday wishes from school. Okay, have a fabulous day everyone! ❤️
Oh my goodness! Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that it is currently raining. I am so thankful for the precipitation. Not only does this help the drought a little, but it just puts a smile on my face to hear the trickling sound on my roof. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.)
I started the day off by hanging out with my favorite pup in the whole world. We just chilled on my bed, cuddling and listening to the thunder. I don’t think my dog appreciated the thunder as much as I did. Then I walked with my dog and my dad to Panera. When we got there, I rushed inside and grabbed my French Onion Bistro Soup. When we got home I gobbled up my food and decided to get creative. I made a fort out of two sheets and ribbon. I have to say, my fort was pretty impressive. Have a great night everyone!
Okay so I have been obsessed with this quaint yogurt shop down the street. Every Saturday I have been going down there and getting my favorite Pomegranate Tart. Anyway, with my dog walking business, I decided to start earning the yogurt by jogging with the dogs on the following day. My new favorite app is Spotify. I love every feature it offers. A new “trick” I discovered is when you create a playlist of your favorite five songs, Spotify adds songs that are recommended based on your top five picks. Soon enough I will be posting my Spotify account, so you guys can check out my favorite playlists and such. I only had one picture up today due to my urge to stay inside all day listening to music which was pretty relaxing. As I am writing this fabulous post, I’m actually listening to a great song called Let Her Go by Passenger.
Even though it is already a month into the new year, I just started acting on my resolutions. Personally, I am extremely lazy. Usually I would start my resolutions five months into the new year. Hopefully, my resolutions will hold and become habits. Honestly, I’m not quite sure as to why I’m explaining my thought process on resolutions. Alright, well I will see you next time. 🙂
Yesterday, my mom and I hosted a tea party with the help of Susie Cakes, Teavanna, and Fox Home Entertainment, who provided pastries, tea, and the movie, The Best of Me. (Turning your computer, phone, or head may be required to view the following images.
Let me start by saying that Susie Cakes has THE BEST CUPCAKES. I cannot believe the flavors I put in my mouth all day. All the cupcakes had disappeared within two minutes of being on display. After we all sat around, eating mini sandwiches and sipping on tea, we went into our movie room, where we project movies onto the wall. Anyway, everyone had a blast and at the end of the day I went to pick up Christmas Lights from a house down the street about to be bulldozed. When I brought the lights home, I separated all of them into three strands. I plugged them in and to my surprise, each strand lit up! I took one strand into my room and hung it in between the grid and the mattress of my bunk bed. I have to say, I’m pretty proud of how great it looks. Alright well, see you tomorrow! Goodnight! ❤️👽
